:D

I remember hearing this on the G9core podcast #7. It's very ambient and dark, while sustaining a steady beat. It reminds me of metroid in a way. Nice job. I'm gonna check out a few more of your tracks.

Rucklo responds:

Metroid, eh? that was kindof unexpected :)
Well, dark stuff like this is what i like, with a clean beat... I wanted to add skratching on it when i made it, but by the time i had no CD skratcher. Well, i still donĀ“t, since the godamn thing is in repair... but yeah thats how it goes...

Thanx alot for the review man!

w00t!

The intro is really cool. It sounds really old-school. I'm digging the metronome thing you got going in the back. The bass is excellent! You might want to turn up the bass drum a bit, make it pulse a bit more. Your snare sample isn't the best though, try to find one a little more dance-like. It's fine for now, though. And... I'm at the second part I presume? Catchy! The bass on the offbeat is really cool. It's a little crowded when you throw all the parts in there, though.

Overall- Pretty much flawless, just fix a few minor things and you're good to go!

hmm. good.

oo I heard this one the G9core podcast. Nice work. I think I've used that organ somewhere before. You could really benefit from a new drumset, though. It could also be a bit louder, but oh well. I like the melody, you did a good job fitting in the harmony, too. This is one of your better ones, keep it up.

aww shuks! =)

lol wut eva man thnx so much!

Man, this has got to be one of my favorite songs on newgrounds. The intro was very professional, and I love when the pizzicato and strings come in. The beat you got going there is very steady and crisp, and doesn't overpower the melody at all. And of course, the piano in here is excellent. I just learned how to play it on the keyboard the other day, myself. GREAT job, keep up the awesome work. I hope that collab works out sometime soon. :P

nightvision responds:

I'm honored that this is a favorite for you. It's my prized posession, it really communicates my deep emotion.

You learned it on piano? Wow, i'm flattered. I'll be sure to drop you a few reviews man.

omg :D

I gotta show this to my friends :D

nice job XD

calming yet driving in parts

is that the ocean at the beginning? :D

I like that little break before the drums and guitar kick in. maybe a little more bass, but that's a minor problem. I guess since it's ambient... yea. I'm really liking your music. Hit me back sometime.

this is amazing

reminds me of Pirates of the Carribean in a way... I like the use of the snare. Oh man. I gotta download this. You are very very awesome.

DavidOrr responds:

The reason it is in 5/4 is because I originally had it in 4/4, and the melody resembled Pirates pretty closely. With a few melodic meodifications and the change in time signature, it still has the same feel of Pirates, but has a different sound. Glad you enjoyed it, and thanks for the review!

:D

nice job, both of you! Cerrax, what did you use for the strings? I'm kinda tired of my cadenza soundfont :P

orolo responds:

I believe Cerrax uses EWQLSO Silver.

sw00ty!

omjesus

Nice beginning, you should have used the theme all through the song, though. The chorus thing you break into for a measure or so is a nice touch. The bassline progression was really cool and original. It's a bit short, but I guess it's up to you for that. :) I really like your samples that you use. Where do you get them? hit me back.

PERVOK responds:

Where Ig et my samples? I make them :)
